Approach

I am a real people person, and just about every review I get mentions the same two things: that I put people at ease in front of the camera, and that the session was genuinely enjoyable. Making a photoshoot something you look forward to rather than endure is most of the job.

I began studying photography at Bournemouth and Poole College in 2007, was awarded distinctions throughout, and went on to gain my Licentiateship with the Royal Photographic Society. Fiona Moorey Photography started in 2009. In 2013 I set up a home studio for newborn and baby work and trained in newborn handling and posing with one of the country’s leading newborn photographers, and in 2018 I added personal branding.

I work alongside Sue, my assistant and second photographer of around eleven years, who knows exactly where I need her to be on a wedding day. I live in Dorset with my family, and I am happiest on a beach, behind a camera at sunset, or planning the next shoot.
